Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has insisted that qualifying for the Champions League is the club's main objective this season.
The Spanish outfit won their first La Liga title since 1996 last season, in addition to reaching the final of the Champions League.
However, Diego Simeone's side, who sit fourth in the table, are currently nine points behind league leaders Barcelona and just four points ahead of fifth-place Sevilla.
"We're a strong team and I'm proud to be a part of them. I've developed as a player [at Atletico] and we have a great squad," Turan told Hurriyet.
"Last season was special, but it's over now. The Champions League final was very dramatic, but although many players have left [us since then], we're still giving perfect performances.
"[Qualifying for the Champions League next season] is our main objective, and we have 12 games left before the season ends."
Turan is currently on international duty with Turkey, although he is suspended for their Euro 2016 qualifier against Netherlands.
