AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze may reportedly emerge as a player in demand during the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has just begun his second campaign at San Siro having departed Villarreal for Serie A during the summer of 2023.
At the Yellow Submarine, the Nigeria international was a hugely influential figure, contributing 37 goals and 31 assists from his 207 appearances.
However, it has been a far different story in the colours of AC Milan, with just three strikes and three assists coming from 39 outings in all competitions.
Chukwueze has not been helped by other half of those appearances coming from the substitutes' bench, yet he has done little to convince two different managers to hand him more opportunities.
Although he started two of the first three 2024-25 fixtures in Serie A, Chukwueze has not began a game since the end of August.
Fonseca prepared to sell Chukwueze?
While there is time to regain his place under Paulo Fonsenca, it appears increasingly likely that offers may be considered for his signature.
According to Fichajes, two clubs in the Premier League and one in La Liga are monitoring the situation.
Aston Villa and West Ham United are the English teams in question, the former most notable through Chukwueze having previously played under Unai Emery at Villarreal.
Atletico Madrid are also seemingly contemplating whether to hand Chukwueze an opportunity to return to Spain at the turn of the year.
A total of 21 goals and 18 assists have been recorded from his 155 appearances in the division, although Atletico would likely have to make a sale in order for a deal to become feasible.
What is a possible fee?
Despite a potential fee not being mentioned, Milan would not want to make a loss on a player that they signed for €28m, providing that all add-ons are activated.
From an amortisation standpoint, at least €20m would be required for Milan to be able to at least break even in January.
