Atletico Madrid will reportedly move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan at the end of the season.
Gundogan's performances during the 2012-13 campaign made him one of the most in-demand midfielders in European football.
The German also scored in the 2013 Champions League final as Dortmund lost out to Bayern Munich, but injuries have restricted Gundogan's progress over the next seasons.
The combative midfielder has since returned to fitness, however, with his form contributing to Dortmund's turnaround in recent months.
A number of clubs have been linked with a summer move, but, according to Bild, Atletico will make an official offer in June as they prepare for the potential loss of Spanish midfielder Koke.
