Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has revealed that Oliver Torres suffered a dislocated shoulder in their 4-2 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday evening.
The highly-rated Spaniard entered the field as a second-half substitute, but lasted barely a minute before being forced to depart.
Medics were seen attempting to push Torres's shoulder back into place at the side of the pitch and Simeone has now confirmed that the attacker did dislocate his shoulder.
"Oliver suffered a dislocated shoulder, but he's a young and strong lad and he'll recover well," Simeone told reporters at a press conference.
It is believed that Atletico were keen to send the 19-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season, but that has now been scuppered.
