Inter Milan have reportedly moved closer to securing the signature of Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.
The 32-year-old is currently in his ninth season at the Spanish giants, but the Uruguay international has less than six months remaining on his contract and is now allowed to talk to foreign clubs.
Inter have been strongly linked with Godin for a number of months, and according to Sky in Italy, the Serie A side are on the brink of completing the transfer.
The report claims that Godin has already passed a medical with Inter, and terms have been agreed for a deal to go through at the end of the campaign.
Godin remains a regular in the centre of Atletico's defence, with 20 appearances being made in La Liga and the Champions League this season.
