Swansea City are weighing up a club-record move worth £25m for Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro, according to a report.
The 30-year-old is said to have been put up for sale by Atleti as they are keen to balance the books, having spent big to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea.
Premier League basement boys Swansea will join Fenerbahce in making a formal approach for the France international, who has three goals in 13 games for Les Bleus and six goals in all competitions for Atletico this term.
City are hopeful of persuading Gameiro to make the switch, but The Sun reports that Turkish giants Fener are offering a better pay package.
Gameiro's clubmate Nicolas Gaitan is also rumoured to be on the Swans' wanted list, with a loan move being discussed for the midfielder.
