West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that a loan deal for Atletico Madrid forward Raul Jimenez is "close".
The Mexican international is expected to join the Hammers in the next few days in a £1.4m season-long loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.
The West Ham boss has been looking to bolster his striking options this summer with Andy Carroll out injured until the end of the month.
Bilic told reporters: "We are close. But it's not done yet. Hopefully, it will be done Thursday, or Friday. Anyway, he will not make the squad for Sunday.
"It will be good for us to get a player as soon as possible considering that in some positions we need players."
The 24-year-old striker scored just once in 21 appearances for Atletico last season and has managed eight goals in 36 games for his international side.
