Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly decided to try to complete the permanent signing of Diogo Jota during the January transfer window.
During the summer, Wolves pulled off the coup of adding the 20-year-old to Nuno Espirito Santo's squad on a season-long loan deal from Atletico Madrid and so far, the attacker has proved to be a success.
The Portuguese has scored six goals in 11 starts in the Championship, with his displays helping Wolves to second place in the table, and it now appears that the West Midlands outfit will not waste any time in trying to keep the player.
According to the Express & Star, Wolves want to agree terms on a permanent deal in January, rather than waiting to take up their option on Jota at the end of the campaign.
It has been claimed that any transfer would not break Wolves' club record, which was achieved with the signing of Ruben Neves from Porto.
Jota is yet to make a first-team appearance for Atletico after spending last season on loan at Porto.
