Nuremberg have moved out of the relegation playoff place in the Bundesliga by earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to Augsburg.
The decisive goal came on 65 minutes through Josip Drmic, who reached the end of a Adam Hlousek cross to thump his header past goalkeeper Alex Manninger.
The visitors came within inches of doubling their advantage just four minutes later, as Manninger could only watch Markus Feulner's fiercely-struck shot whistle narrowly over the bar.
The hosts nearly found the equaliser in the dying stages, only for Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker's header to be cleared off the line.
