Midfielder Mark Milligan has been sidelined for Australia's World Cup encounter with the Netherlands on Wednesday with a hamstring strain.
Milligan started his side's previous game against Chile on Friday evening, but after failing to train 24 hours ahead of the fixture with the Dutch, coach Ange Postecoglou has revealed that the 28-year-old will be absent from his starting lineup.
The Brisbane Roar midfielder joins defender Ivan Franjic in the treatment room after his teammate was ruled out of the tournament with a similar problem.
Australia need a result against the Netherlands to prolong their interest in the tournament.
