Barcelona B secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Real Madrid Castilla in this afternoon's Segunda Division clash.
The home side pressed early on and took control of the game in the middle of the park.
The pressure paid off on 23 minutes when Joan Roman found Sandro Ramirez, who got a touch on the ball in the box to make it 1-0.
Three minutes later, Dani Nieto broke into the penalty area using some impressive skills and won a penalty after being dragged down.
Nieto stepped up to take the spot kick himself and finished expertly to double his side's lead.
Roman broke through again for Barca B on the wing, but his final effort was comfortably saved by the goalkeeper.
Nieto and Sandro combined once again to cause problems before half time, but the finish was just lacking.
Jorge Burgui skipped past the Barca B defence on 60 minutes, but he could not trouble the goalkeeper with his effort.
Raul De Tomas created a chance for himself as Castilla began to push forward, but his shot went just wide of the post.
De Tomas had another chance for the away side, but he was again denied by a fantastic save from the goalkeeper.
