Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham has said that he hopes Barcelona forward Lionel Messi shakes off injury to play a part in their Champions League clash next week.
PSG carved out a 2-2 draw with the Liga leaders in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.
Messi scored the opening goal before he was replaced ahead of half time after suffering a hamstring problem, but Beckham hopes that the four-time Ballon d'Or winner is fit for the return leg at Camp Nou.
"I hope he is not injured," he told ITV Sport.
"I hope he's fit for any game coming up, we wish him well. I think the draw was deserved, obviously it was always going to be a game where they had a lot of possession, they have an amazing team and they played very well."
Beckham made history this evening, by becoming the first British player to play for four different teams in the Champions League.
