Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has insisted that he does not need advice from Pep Guardiola ahead of his side's Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
Guardiola, 42, who spent four seasons as the boss of Barca until 2012, will replace Heynckes at the Bayern helm in the summer.
However, despite the fact that Guardiola would possess a good knowledge of the Catalan outfit from a tactical point of view, Heynckes has revealed that he will not be calling upon the Spaniard's expertise.
"Barcelona have dominated European football over the past few years. They have a philosophy which is unique to them," he told reporters.
"I have respect for Josep Guardiola and we have a very good relationship. I don't need any information from him, though, because I know Spanish football and Barcelona very well."
The two teams will meet in Germany for the opening leg tomorrow night.
