Lionel Messi has suggested that he wants to make up for lost time after returning from injury to help Barcelona defeat Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Despite having suffered with calf and thigh problems during the opening weeks of the season, Messi was able to complete 90 minutes on Wednesday night as the Catalan giants came from behind to register a 2-1 victory at Camp Nou.
After the match, the Argentine indicated that he was determined to help Barcelona get their campaign back on track after an inconsistent run of results.
The 32-year-old is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "I am still getting started. This the first time that I have completed 90 minutes. As the season goes on I will gradually let loose."
Messi is yet to score from two starts and two substitute outings this season.
