Barcelona attacker Antoine Griezmann has revealed that he will fulfil "a dream" if he takes to the field in Wednesday's El Clasico with Real Madrid.
Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid over the summer and has scored seven times in 21 appearances for the Catalan giants this season, including a goal in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Real Sociedad.
The France international is expected to be in the XI when Ernesto Valverde's side welcome Madrid on Wednesday night, and the 28-year-old has said that he cannot wait to be a part of the occasion.
"It's a match the whole world waits for and just as important for the fans as the players," Griezmann told Barcelona's official channel. "It was always amazing to watch Clasicos on TV, and now it's a dream to be able to play one and be involved myself.
"I'm very happy and looking forward to it, it will be an incredible day and I hope to go into it in the best way possible to play a great game."
Neither Barca nor Madrid will enter the first Clasico of the 2019-20 campaign off the back of wins as Zinedine Zidane's side were held to a 1-1 draw at Valencia on Sunday night.
