Former Barcelona attacker Johan Cruyff has told Portugal skipper Cristiano Ronaldo that "he needs to grow up" if he is affected by 'Lionel Messi' chants from opposing fans.
Denmark supporters chanted the Argentine's name every time Ronaldo touched the ball during their Euro 2012 encounter last week, and Ronaldo responded angrily to the chants.
However, Cruyff believes that the 27-year-old should have risen above it, telling reporters: "To Ronaldo, it must be the same if the fans talk about his mother or Messi. If that concerns him, he needs to grow up."
Ronaldo has scored twice at Euro 2012 thusfar.
