Barcelona confirm latest Ansu Fati injury blow and length of his absence

:Headline: Barcelona confirm latest Ansu Fati injury blow and length of his absence:
Barcelona reveal how long Ansu Fati will be on the sidelines after the attacker suffered a hamstring injury in training on Wednesday.
Sports Mole

Barcelona have revealed that Ansu Fati has been ruled out for around four weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Catalan giants recently received the news that Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski are both struggling with injury issues.

Yamal is with an ankle injury which forced him to miss Barcelona's 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday.

The winger has been forced to pull out of Luis de la Fuente's Spain squad, while Lewandowski has withdrawn from the Poland setup due to a back problem.

Lewandowski is hoping to be fit for Celta Vigo on November 23, but the same cannot be said for one of his fellow Barcelona attackers.

Barcelona receive Fati injury blow

Barcelona have released a statement to confirm that Fati is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury in training.

The statement read: "Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has suffered a muscular injury in the biceps femoris of his right thigh during Wednesday's training session. As a result of the injury, he is expected to be out of action for about four weeks."

Unfortunately for Fati, it represents the latest setback in a list of injuries which have plagued him since he suffered a serious knee injury in November 2020.

Fati has found regular game time hard to come by since returning from last season's loan spell at Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 22-year-old forward has had to settle for just one start in his seven competitive appearances for Barcelona this season.

Fati's most recent appearance took place in Sunday's defeat to Real Sociedad, with the attacker coming off the bench to play over 20 minutes at the Reale Arena.

What games will Fati miss?

He will now spend the next month working on his recovery as he looks to make a return to action at some point in December.

As a result of the hamstring injury, Fati is expected to miss La Liga matches against Celta Vigo, Las Palmas, Mallorca and Real Betis.

The Barcelona academy product is also set to sit out Champions League encounters against Brest on November 26 and Borussia Dortmund on December 11.

Fati will hope to make his return in time for home games against Leganes and Atletico Madrid on December 14 and 21 respectively. body check tags ::
