Barcelona have confirmed that Luis Suarez picked up an injury to his right calf during Saturday's surprise 3-1 loss at Levante in Spain's top flight.
The Uruguay international had to be replaced shortly before the interval at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, where the Spanish champions lost for the first time since September 21.
A statement on Barca's official Twitter page revealed that Suarez had picked up a calf problem, but the Catalan giants have not yet revealed when the striker might be available for selection.
The 32-year-old has managed eight goals in 12 appearances for Ernesto Valverde's side this season despite already spending a period on the sidelines with a calf problem.
Barca are next in action at home to Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday night before welcoming Celta Vigo to Camp Nou in La Liga next weekend.
Ousmane Dembele is available for selection after a domestic suspension, but the France international was not even in the squad for Saturday's loss at Levante.
