Lionel Messi "is in condition" to face Alaves in La Liga this weekend, Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has confirmed.
Messi had been a doubt to take part in the league clash on Saturday after picking up a groin problem while representing Argentina during the recent international break.
The 29-year-old returned to light training earlier this week and Enrique has revealed that the forward is now available, although it is unclear whether he will be risked ahead of the Champions League clash with Celtic next week.
"He is in condition to be able to feature [against Alaves]. I've spoken with him like I speak with all my players and we know how he is. We have to analyse the situation and keep in mind what's best for the player and make sure he's in the best condition possible," Enrique told reporters.
"There was a report which said what the player has and we have had to evaluate things from there. We have a lot of commitments throughout the season and we always focus on [the best] for the player."
Neymar also returned to training earlier this week after representing Brazil at the Olympics.
