Barcelona have confirmed that German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will miss a week of training after undergoing dental surgery.
The 23-year-old was left out of the Germany squad for their upcoming friendlies, but he has used the time off to undergo a procedure that "had been planned in advance".
"Luis Enrique will be without Marc-Andre Ter Stegen in training this week as the German keeper will undergo dental surgery, a procedure that had been planned in advance," read a statement from Barcelona.
"Nevertheless, the player is expected to be back in training from the start of next week, after the international break, to prepare for the Clasico against Real Madrid."
Ter Stegen has made 10 appearances for Barcelona this season, but has lost his spot in the team since Claudio Bravo returned to fitness.
