Gavi, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marcos Alonso are the first-team absentees from the Barcelona squad for the Spanish Super Cup.
The Catalan outfit will be without the services of Gavi for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign, with the midfielder suffering a severe knee injury while representing Spain towards the end of last year.
Ter Stegen and Alonso, meanwhile, have both undergone recent back operations, with the duo not expected to be available for selection until March.
There is positive news on the injury front, though, as Joao Cancelo, Pedri and Inigo Martinez have been included in the hope that the trio could be available for the final, should Barcelona make it.
Cancelo suffered a knee injury against Las Palmas in the league last weekend, which led to him being withdrawn in the early stages of the contest.
The issue was expected to rule the Portugal international out until the end of January, but he could be involved in the final of the Spanish Super Cup this weekend.
Pedri, meanwhile, has been out with a muscular issue since the clash with Valencia on December 16, but the midfielder also has a chance of featuring in the competition in Saudi Arabia.
Martinez was expected to miss out on the squad, having suffered a setback on his return to action against Barbastro in the Copa del Rey on Sunday, but he is also in the selection.
There had also been some doubt over Alejandro Balde after he missed out against Barbastro, but the left-back is included in the travelling party.
Hector Fort, Marc Casado, Marc Guiu, Pau Cubarsi, Diego Kochen and Ander Astralaga are among the youngsters called up for the competition.
Barcelona will take on Osasuna in the semi-finals of the tournament on Thursday evening, before a potential final against Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid on Sunday night.
The Catalan outfit are the most successful side in the history of the Spanish Super Cup, winning the trophy on 14 occasions, twice more than Real Madrid.
Barcelona are also the reigning champions, having beaten Valencia in the semi-finals of last year's competition on penalties before recording a 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the final.
