Schalke winger Ibrahim Afellay has admitted that he is far from happy with the time he has spent as a substitute since joining the German giants.
Afellay joined Schalke on a season-long loan from Barcelona in an effort to find first-team football, but has primarily had to settle for a place on the bench in the early weeks of the campaign.
The Dutch international told the Algemeen Dagblad: "I did not come here to sit on the bench, I came here to get minutes.
"This is a very big club and I am well taken care of, but of course I would like to play."
Afellay has 41 Holland caps to his name, scoring five international goals.
