Barcelona midfielder Aleix Vidal has insisted that he and his teammates "will not relax" after they extended their lead at the top of the La Liga table to six points.
The Catalan giants stretched their advantage ahead of title rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid thanks to a 3-1 victory over Sporting Gijon at El Molinon on Wednesday night.
Lionel Messi scored two goals, one of which was a historic 300th league strike, while Luis Suarez netted the third after having a penalty saved in the second half.
"I think we are having a really good season in the league," Barca's Twitter page quotes Vidal as saying. "We will not relax."
Head coach Luis Enrique added: "We have put in a complete performance given how tough it was playing against a side who sat back."
Barcelona are now unbeaten in 31 games in all competitions.
