Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves has admitted that his side were devastated to lose late against Barcelona on Sunday.
Los Che had a number of opportunities during the La Liga clash, but took nothing from the match following a stoppage-time winner from Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets.
"I think we had very clear chances to score. It was also a very physical game. We were out on the counter, and in the last kick of the game they managed to score against us," he told reporters.
"It's always difficult against Barca, and I think the team showed their face, but we left [Mestalla] with a bitter taste in our mouths."
Valencia remain fifth in the table, two points off fourth-placed Sevilla.
