Barcelona defender Dani Alves has claimed that the Spanish champions are currently in a lose-lose situation.
The Catalan outfit have been heavily criticised this season each time they have suffered a defeat.
Meanwhile, refereeing inconsistencies have been mentioned in recent impressive wins, including their 4-3 success over Real Madrid in El Clasico earlier this month.
"Referee accusations are a motivation," he told reporters at a press conference.
"It is customary for our wins to be dressed up like this. It seems that's part of our life.
"If we win it is because of referees and if we lose it is because the cycle is over. We are above this and it does not affect us. Arguing is what they want.
"After the Clasico, the press were discussing our penalties while they kept quiet about Madrid's penalty, the only one that wasn't one."
Barcelona face Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday.
