Philippe Coutinho has said that his understanding with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Barcelona "is improving with each game".
Coutinho has had a slow start to his Barcelona career following a January move from Liverpool, but the Brazilian enjoyed his best game for the Catalan giants against Girona on Saturday night.
Indeed, the attacker opened his La Liga account with a curling effort, and impressively linked with Messi and Suarez during Barcelona's 6-1 victory at Camp Nou.
Coutinho has claimed that he is "learning gradually" to fit into Barcelona's attacking system.
"It was an important match and we had to win so we'd keep picking up points," Coutinho told Movistar Partidazo.
"We deserved to win and we leave here very happy for this reason. Messi? Leo's a great guy. He deceived everyone with his goal. It's incredible how good he is.
"Our understanding is improving with each game, as well as with Suarez. He's very important for us. I'm learning gradually and I have to keep working hard."
Suarez grabbed a hat-trick against Girona on Saturday night, while Messi netted twice for the unbeaten league leaders.
