Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin has branded Barcelona's Luis Suarez "the best number nine in the world".
Godin and Suarez are rivals in La Liga, but both play their international football for Uruguay.
When questioned on his international teammate, Godin did not hold back with his praise, claiming that Suarez is the best centre-forward in world football.
"Suarez? He's the best number nine in the world. He adapts to everything a striker needs to do," Godin told Canal+.
Suarez, 28, joined Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014 after coming close to winning the Premier League title for the Merseyside club. Since arriving in Spain, he has scored 40 times in 61 appearances for Barcelona, including 15 in 18 matches this season.
