Coach Pep Guardiola has said that Barcelona will have to make do without David Villa in the World Club Cup after the striker broke his leg.
The Spaniard is expected to be out for up to five months after he fractured his left tibia during Barca's 4-0 semi-final win against Al Sadd.
"Villa is going back for an operation. Don't ask me about a replacement for that particular player, we will have to play without him to become champions of the world," Guardiola told reporters.
"We will try to do our best in the circumstances we find ourselves, we would like to be world champions."
The Catalan club take on Brazilian side Santos in Sunday's final.
