Luis Suarez has claimed that Barcelona teammate Neymar is now "right behind" Lionel Messi in the pecking order as the best player in world football.
Neymar has scored 13 times in 14 appearances for Barcelona this season and it has been claimed that he has an outside chance of winning the upcoming Ballon d'Or ahead of Messi and Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo, who are once again the two favourites.
Suarez, who has netted 13 times in 17 games this season, has paid tribute to both of his fellow attackers, in addition to speaking of the importance of his team's midfield.
"Messi is on another level because of everything he has achieved and is still doing. Neymar is right behind him at the moment. I really enjoy playing alongside him," Suarez told reporters.
"Time will tell whether we are one of the best attacks in the history of the game, but it is clear that we are getting along well. I am very happy when Neymar scores a hat-trick and he is happy when I score. But we could not do it without the support of the midfield and the rest of the team."
Barcelona continue their La Liga campaign with a trip to Real Madrid on Saturday.
