Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino has said that his side "had to win" against Cartagena having come into the match on the back of two successive losses.
After going behind, the Catalan club won 4-1, thanks to a brace from Pedro and further goals from Cesc Fabregas and Jean-Marie Dongou.
"We were coming off the back of two straight losses, albeit in two different types of matches, so we had to win," Martino told Marca. "We did what we had to do."
Barcelona's next game sees them host Celtic in their final Champions League Group H fixture.
