Lionel Messi has been ruled out of Barcelona's trip to Malaga on Sunday due to a thigh problem.
The FIFA World Player of the Year picked up the injury during Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.
"His progress is satisfactory, but he has been left out as a precaution," read a statement on Barca's official website.
Messi's absence should please Malaga fans as the Argentinean forward has scored seven goals in his last three matches against Los Boquerones.
