Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez is "one of the best strikers in the world."
The 22-year-old has become one of the most sought-after prospects in Europe following his performances for Antonio Conte's side this season, having registered 16 goals across all competitions throughout the 2019-20 campaign.
Spanish giants Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentine, and his compatriot Pochettino is not surprised by the attention that Martinez has received.
Speaking to Radio La Plata, Pochettino said: "Lautaro Martinez is one of the best strikers in the world.
"It's not just for what he does now, but for what his potential means going forward. If you start looking at hitmen for the big clubs, clearly his name has to be in there. "
Martinez has chalked up 25 goals in 66 games for Inter since his arrival from Argentine side Racing Club in 2018.
The 22-year-old's current contract at San Siro expires in 2023.
