Sergi Roberto has revealed that he is quickly "getting used to" playing as a right-back for Barcelona.
The 24-year-old came through the Barcelona system as a central midfielder, but has played on the right side of defence in both of his team's La Liga matches at the start of the 2016-17 campaign.
It is thought that Roberto will battle Aleix Vidal for the spot which has been vacated by Dani Alves, and the Spaniard says that he is "enjoying" his new role in the side.
"I am getting used to it. At the beginning it was new for me, but in the end my teammates made everything easier. I am getting used to it and enjoying it," Roberto told Esport3. "The whole team has started at a great level and, from a personal point of view, I am very happy. The coach is showing faith in me and this is the path I want to follow."
Roberto appeared 106 times for Barcelona B before making his first-team debut in the 2010-11 campaign. Last season, the midfielder-turned-defender made 48 appearances in all competitions.
