Oliver Torres has revealed that "it was a wonderful moment" to score on his first start for Atletico Madrid last weekend.
The 18-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in world football, scored 13 seconds into his side's 5-0 win over Real Betis on Sunday.
"It was a wonderful moment, really. To me, it was like a dream come true. The opportunity that you have waited for your whole life, and you start well, scoring a goal so soon, it makes you more confident of your chances," he told AS.
"It makes me happy to see how the fans treat me. The important thing is to keep improving as a player. I think my projection is on the rise and I understand that my situation is being managed well.
"I want to be a better player and person in each day that passes. In football things go better or worse, but the important thing is to enjoy it on the field."
It has been suggested that Barcelona have first option on the youngster.
