Villarreal midfielder Manu Trigueros has revealed that he is looking forward to facing former club Barcelona at the weekend.
The 22-year-old spent the 2007-08 campaign with the Catalan outfit, but departed for Murca in 2009 before moving to the Yellow Submarine one year later.
"Playing in Barcelona is very complicated and that year I played very little," he told AS.
"They offered me the chance to continue, but I wanted to play and saw that as unclear there. I left them to go on loan to Murcia and I did not think about it. Life is not just Barcelona and Madrid, there are other options.
"Am I after revenge now? No, no. I do not have any complaints about Barcelona. It is a big club, I was treated very well and the experience at La Masia was spectacular. I have never played there, but what I do know is, my window faced the Camp Nou."
Villarreal currently sit fifth in La Liga.
