West Ham United have reportedly begun discussions with Barcelona over a friendly between the two sides to kickstart the Hammers' new era at the Olympic Stadium.
From next season, the East London outfit will leave the Boleyn Ground after 122 years and play their home matches at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
The move will see the club's capacity increase to 55,000 and, according to The Independent, West Ham want Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi and Barca to be the first team to take them on at their new home.
A formal agreement is yet to be reached and West Ham are said to have made contact with several other top European sides.
