Barcelona midfielder Xavi has admitted that he has been 'frustrated' by his bit-part role for the Spanish champions in recent weeks.

The Spanish international has been used sparingly in La Liga over the last month or so, but he has insisted that he has "respect" for Gerardo Martino's decisions.

"It's frustrating for me when I don't get the chance to participate or when I'm not comfortable when I do play but I always respect the coach," he told reporters at a press conference.

Xavi has made 32 appearances in all competitions this season.
