Barcelona are entering a new era under the management of Hansi Flick, with Xavi incredibly being sacked by the Catalan giants towards the end of last month.

The La Liga outfit will be bidding to challenge on all fronts next season, and it is set to be a fascinating transfer window for the club, with a number of players on course to both arrive and depart.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the Barcelona players whose contracts either expire at the end of June, or in the summer of 2025.

Which Barcelona players are out of contract this summer?

Sergi Roberto

Age: 32
Position: Central midfielder
Transfer value: £2.6m
Joined: Academy product
Joining fee: N/A
Barcelona appearances: 373
Barcelona goals: 19

Honours

  • La Liga (7): 2010-11, 2012-13, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2022-23

  • Copa del Rey (6): 2011-12, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2020-21

  • Spanish Super Cup (3): 2010, 2016, 2022-23

  • Champions League (2): 2010-11, 2014-15

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2015

  • FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2015

  • Roberto has been a brilliant servant to Barcelona, but the Spaniard's contract is due to expire at the end of June, and there is huge uncertainty surrounding his future.

The club do have the option of an extension to take him until the summer of 2025, though, and it would not be a surprise to see that activated in the not too distant future.

    Marcos Alonso

    Age: 33
    Position: Left-back
    Transfer value: £2.6m
    Joined: September 1, 2022
    Joining fee: Free transfer
    Barcelona appearances: 45
    Barcelona goals: 3

    Honours

  • Premier League (1): 2016-17

  • FA Cup (1): 2017-18

  • FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2021

  • La Liga (1): 2022-23

  • Spanish Super Cup (1): 2022-23

  • Alonso only featured eight times for Barcelona during the 2023-24 campaign, and his contract with the Catalan outfit is due to expire at the end of this month.

The 33-year-old is not expected to be offered a fresh deal, although there is the option for a 12-month extension in his current agreement.

Which Barcelona players are out of contract next summer?

    Ilkay Gundogan

    Age: 33

  • Community Shield (2): 2018, 2019

  • Champions League (1): 2022-23

  • Gundogan enjoyed an impressive 2023-24 campaign for Barcelona, scoring five goals and registering 14 assists in 51 appearances in all competitions, having arrived on a free transfer from Manchester City.

The 33-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2025, though, and it remains to be seen whether he signs a new deal at Camp Nou.

    Inigo Martinez

    Age: 33
    Position: Centre-back
    Transfer value: £5.1m
    Joined: July 5, 2023
    Joining fee: Free transfer
    Barcelona appearances: 25
    Barcelona goals: 0

    Honours

  • Spanish Super Cup (1): 2020-21

  • UEFA European Under-21 Championship (1): 2013

  • Martinez featured on 25 occasions for Barcelona during the 2023-24 campaign following his arrival on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao.

There is already speculation surrounding the centre-back's future at Camp Nou, though, and it has been suggested that he could leave the Catalan side this summer.

    Marc Guiu

    Age: 18
    Position: Centre-forward
    Transfer value: £6.4m
    Joined: Academy product
    Joining fee: N/A
    Barcelona appearances: 7
    Barcelona goals: 2

Guiu has scored twice in seven first-team appearances for Barcelona, and he is regarded as one of the best young talents at the club.

The 18-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2025, though, and there have recently been reports that he could leave Camp Nou in the near future.

    Ander Astralaga

    Age: 20
    Position: Goalkeeper
    Transfer value: £426k
    Joined: January 1, 2018
    Joining fee: Undisclosed
    Barcelona appearances: 0
    Barcelona goals: 0

    Honours

  • La Liga (1): 2022-23

  • Astralaga is yet to make his first-team debut for Barcelona, but he was the club's second-choice goalkeeper in the first half of the 2023-24 campaign.

The 20-year-old has been linked with an exit of late, but he could be in line for a new contract, with Barcelona thought to be keen to keep hold of him.
