The agent of Dani Alves has claimed that the search for a new club has begun due to the lack of a new contract offer from Barcelona.
Dinorah Santana confirmed earlier this week that he had still not been contacted about a new deal for the Brazilian, and the plan is to look at the possibilities for his next move as Alves prepares to become a free agent this summer.
"They haven't contacted us," Santana told Cadena SER. "I interpret that silence to mean they don't want Dani Alves, so we will begin searching for a new club.
"We won't wait for Barcelona, they have to take the plunge. Alves has spent seven years here and he has behaved like a professional at all times.
"Barcelona have not had a sports director for a month and Alves is free to negotiate with any club."
Alves has made over 300 appearances in all competitions since joining Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008.
