Dani Alves has conceded that he had 'one foot out of the door' at Barcelona this summer.
The Brazilian international was widely expected to leave Camp Nou in this transfer window after failing to agree a new contract before the end of last season.
It is understood that the right-back was extremely close to leaving the Catalan outfit, but Alves has said that he was delighted to sign a new two-year deal.
"You say I had a foot out of the door, luckily it was my strongest foot so I'm back here," Alves told reporters.
"I shall continue doing what I've always done, which is to give everything I can. Then things happen as the season progresses."
Alves and his Barca teammates are currently in Georgia preparing for Tuesday's European Super Cup against Sevilla.
