Barcelona and Bayern Munich are reportedly locked in a battle to sign Juventus midfielder Emre Can ahead of Monday's European transfer deadline.
The Germany international is believed to be surplus to requirements at Juve, who bolstered their midfield with the signings of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot during the summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, both Barca and Bayern have been monitoring Can's situation in Turin, and the pair are now locked in a tussle to secure his signature over the weekend.
The 25-year-old, who made 37 appearances for Juve last season following a move from Liverpool, is said to be available for a price in the region of £27m.
Can spent time with Bayern's academy before making seven first-team appearances for the Bundesliga giants ahead of a switch to Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.
As for Barca, the Spanish champions could view the German as a replacement for Ivan Rakitic, who is being strongly linked with a move away from Camp Nou.
