Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Vanderson from Monaco.

The La Liga club have been searching for a right-back this summer, with Cesar Azpilicueta identified as their main target, but they failed in their pursuit to sign the Chelsea player.

Although they were unable to land Azpilicueta, Barcelona are still determined to sign a full-back, especially as Sergino Dest is expected to leave the club before the transfer window closes.

According to Sport, the Catalan giants have identified Vanderson as a possible option to strengthen their defence.

The Brazilian only joined Monaco in January and has five years left on his contract, and it remains to be seen whether they would be prepared to sell the 21-year-old.

Barcelona's pursuit of Juan Foyth could also affect their interest in Vanderson, with the Villarreal defender reportedly close to sealing a move to the Camp Nou. body check tags ::
