Barcelona are reportedly confident of winning the race to sign Memphis Depay this summer, despite suggestions that Juventus are attempting to hijack a move.

The 27-year-old's contract with Lyon is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that he will soon be available on a free transfer.

Barcelona have long been considered as the favourites for the Netherlands international, who scored 22 goals and registered 12 assists in 40 appearances for his French club last term.

However, a recent report claimed that Juventus were firmly in the hunt for the attacker, with the Old Lady facing the possibility of needing to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are aware of interest from elsewhere, but Ronald Koeman's side are not fearful of losing out on a deal for the Dutchman.

Memphis has scored 76 goals and registered 55 assists in 178 appearances for Lyon since joining the Ligue 1 club from Manchester United in 2017. body check tags ::
