Barcelona have reportedly ended their interest in signing Beijing Guoan forward Cedric Bakambu.
Over the past week, Barcelona have been linked with a wide range of strikers, including Bakambu who has previously starred for Villarreal in La Liga.
However, it appears that the Catalan giants have had second thoughts about completing a deal for the Cameroon international.
According to the Daily Mail, the the 28-year-old was due to fly from South Korea, where Beijing are holding a training camp, to Spain in order to finalise a move.
The report adds that a move was scrapped while Bakambu was at the airport, with sporting director Eric Abidal calling the player to confirm Barcelona's change of heart.
Bakambu acknowledged the situation on Twitter on Thursday night, stating that his transfer history should be updated to 'Almost Barcelona'.
