Barcelona talks with Nicolas Tagliafico break down?

Barcelona reportedly fail in their effort to agree a deal for Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico before the end of the January transfer window.

Barcelona have reportedly failed to negotiate a deal with Ajax regarding the possible transfer of Nicolas Tagliafico.

During the second part of the January transfer window, it has been claimed that both the Catalan giants and the Argentina international wanted to get an agreement in place as soon as possible.

However, despite the left-back struggling for game time during 2021-22, Ajax have been reluctant to part ways with one of their former key men unless they receive a suitable proposal.

According to Marca, Barcelona have not put forward an attractive package, seemingly resulting in the proposed move being called off.

The report suggests that the La Liga outfit tried, and failed, to offload one of their fringe players to the Dutch outfit.

Barcelona must now decide whether to try to find an alternative before Monday's transfer deadline.
