Barcelona have reportedly decided that they will have to choose between Ousmane Dembele and Adama Traore for who stays at Camp Nou.
After Dembele's career in a Barca shirt looked all but finished in January, the French international remained at the club beyond the mid-season transfer window and has recorded seven assists since then.
Traore, who was brought in on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers two months ago, was initially planned to be the winger to replace Dembele, but now with Barcelona's financial difficulties, both players cannot continue their careers in Catalonia.
According to Marca, it would cost Barcelona €30m to permanently sign Traore from Wolves, while the Spanish giants would have to open contract talks with Dembele, who is free to negotiate terms with foreign clubs as his contract expires at the end of this season.
It is believed that Dembele would be open to staying with Xavi's side if the offer is correct for him, and that may be a cheaper option for the club than purchasing Traore from the Premier League outfit.
Dembele has made just 12 La Liga appearances during this campaign, while Traore has provided two assists in his six domestic outings since joining in January. body check tags ::
