Barcelona have reportedly decided to step up their interest in Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
The teenager is regarded as one of the top prospects in European football, with the 18-year-old having already made 47 first-team appearances for the Dutch giants.
However, De Ligt's performances have led to bigger clubs considering an offer during the summer and according to The Sun, Barcelona are keeping an eye on developments.
The Catalan giants have allegedly opted to send scouts to watch De Ligt in action should he feature for the Netherlands against England in Amsterdam on Friday night.
Premier League clubs are also likely to be keen on De Ligt, who still has over three years remaining on his contract with Ajax.
