The father of Lionel Messi has moved to allay fears that his son could quit Barcelona amid reports that he has fallen out with vice-president Javier Faus.
The 26-year-old slammed Faus on Friday for "knowing nothing about football" after the Catalan giants' chief had denied that the Argentine would be offered improved terms on his existing deal at Camp Nou, with Neymar reportedly the club's highest earner.
Speculation is rife that the FIFA Ballon d'Or nominee could leave the Blaugrana as result of the spat but, according to his father Jorge, the star's long-term future remains in Catalunya.
He told Ole: "The future of Lionel is in Barcelona. No one can doubt that Lionel is at Barcelona for the feeling he has for the club.
"When Lionel says something it always generates a lot of news. We don't want any conflict situation."
The Argentina international will contest the Ballon d'Or with Frank Ribery and Cristiano Ronaldo - the latter of whom is favourite for the award - with the winner scheduled to be announced in January.
