Ronald Koeman is reportedly open to Barcelona cancelling the contract of forward Luis Suarez.
Earlier this month, Koeman was named as the replacement for Quique Setien, penning a two-year contract at Camp Nou in the process.
The Dutchman has arrived at the Catalan giants at a time when the futures of many of the club's players are up in the air, partly due to the current financial situation at the La Liga runners-up.
According to RAC1, Koeman has informed Suarez that he does not feature in his plans heading into the next campaign.
While the 33-year-old would prefer to remain at Barcelona, the report suggests that the Uruguay international may be open to having his contract cancelled a year early, an option which is said to appeal to club officials.
Discussions are expected to take place with Suarez's lawyers with regards to handing him a free transfer this summer.
