Barcelona "would love" to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar, according to Lionel Messi.
Neymar, 26, scored 105 goals in 186 appearances for Barcelona between 2013 and 2017 before completing a world-record move to PSG in the summer of 2017.
The Brazilian has netted 44 times in 49 appearances for PSG since his arrival, but suggestions that the attacker is unsettled in France have gathered pace in recent months.
Indeed, Neymar is said to be 'pushing for a return to Camp Nou', having regretted the decision to leave.
Messi is keen for Barcelona to re-sign Neymar, but has conceded that it will be "very difficult".
"I see it as complicated. We would love him to come back for what he means, both as a player and for the locker room," Messi told Marca.
"We are friends, we have lived very nice moments, others not so much, but we have spent a lot of time together. However, I find it very difficult [for him] to even leave Paris. PSG are not going to let Neymar get taken away."
Ousmane Dembele - signed to replace Neymar - has scored 14 times and registered 13 assists in his 45 appearances for the Spanish champions since arriving from Borussia Dortmund.
